,Ìý,Ìý¸£Àû¼§,Ìý,Ìý, andÌý, are converging for a hybrid workshop on ‘Open Science and Open Access Principles and Practices in Eastern African Community Partner States’.ÌýThis dialogue marks the second in a series of national-level conversations on Open Science following the initial regional meeting with the East African Science and Technology Commission (EASTECO). aimed at advocating for its implementation in East Africa, with theÌý.

The initiative has been anÌýÌýby the organizers- Training Centre in Communication (TCC Africa), the Public Library of Science (PLOS), and the East African Science and Technology Commission (EASTECO) to ensure that national conversations on Open Science are represented in the regional STI policy.
The National Commission for Science Technology and Innovation (NACOSTIÌý ), is set to lead a high-level Open Science round table in the event that is expected to bring together key stakeholders from the higher education sector creating a platform for collaborative knowledge exchange in charting the path towards the adoption of an Open Science ecosystem in Kenya.

To enhance acceptance and adoption of Open Science and open access principles and practices for increased socioeconomic development and regional integration of the East African Partner States.
