Higher听Education听Resource听Services,听East听Africa (HERS-EA)听ACADEMY听provides听an听intensive听leadership听and听management听development听curriculum听which听equips听women听with听skills听needed听to听advance听their听personal听career听development听and听successfully听navigate听the听institutional听environment听where听they听operate.听The听goal听of听the听HERS-EA听training听is听to听raise听the听proportion听of听women听in听leadership听and听management听positions听in听Higher听Education听Institutions听(HEIs)听in听Eastern听Africa听(Burundi,听Ethiopia,听Kenya, Rwanda,听South听Sudan,听Rwanda,听and听Uganda).

The听program听is听focused听on听managing听and听leading听change,听human听resource听development听and听institutional听effectiveness.听The听ACADEMY听prepares听every听participant听to听strengthen听and听expand听her听leadership听skills听by听working听closely听with听HERS-EA听resource听persons听and听staff.听Participants听will听find听the听ACADEMY听to听be听a听safe听environment听to听share听confidential听matters.

in听a听one-week听blended听(virtual听and听in-person)听format听in听Nairobi,听Kenya听(July听4th听-9th听2022),听we hope听you听can听be听part听of听the听success听story

1.听Who听Should听Attend?
HERS-EA听expects听many听diverse听and听dynamic听women听leaders听to听attend听the听ACADEMY,听to听share听aand听learn听from听multiple听institutional听perspectives听with听guidance听from听women听with听a听wealth听of听experience听in听higher听education,听national听academic听organizations,听government听and听non-听governmental听organizations.
Participants听are听expected听hold听mid听to听senior level听positions听and听bring听expertise听from听all听parts听of听a听college听or听university.听They听also听represent听a听range听of听national听groups,听ages听and听years听of听experience听in听higher听education听and听other听fields.
